MedTech Innovator, the largest accelerator of medical device companies in the world, in partnership with Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association, announced on June 21 that Sonic Incytes Medical Corp. has been selected to participate in the organization’s Asia Pacific Accelerator program.
Every year, MedTech Innovator selects the best and brightest medtech start-ups that are seeking to improve patient lives through innovation. Twenty best-in-class start-ups, including Sonic Incytes were selected from more than 500 submitted applications. Selected start-ups will have access to mentors, investors and partners to help them commercialize throughout Asia Pacific. They will also receive a slot in the premier MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Showcase in October, and will be eligible to compete for a cash prize and awards.
Affecting 1 in 4 persons (25%) worldwide, fatty liver disease is an emerging global health crisis with a high prevalence in the Asia-Pacific region. In China alone, 300 million people are afflicted by this disease. Recognizing the rise of this disease, Sonic Incytes is on a mission to reduce the disease by enabling routine assessment and management of liver health with VelacurTM, the first handheld 3D liver health assessment solution. The MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Accelerator will support Sonic Incytes to bring its breakthrough solution to patients in the Asia Pacific region.
